up there?
that’s me.
doing what I love to do.
aspiring to live every day, creatively. 🙂

more about me? okay, here are eight things about me (nine if you count why I named my business kreatid):

1. I am me because He loves me.

Jesus allows me to see life the only way I know how…as someone who has been forgiven much and who now has an obligation to love much.
and He has made SO MUCH to see and love!

2. without him, I am not me. 🙂

I have known my husband since I was nine years old. fifth grade was when I met him.
he is my very best friend, my love, my confidant, my encourager, wise, the one who make me laugh, the father of my two loves, my rock and I can honestly say I love him more today than I thought humanly possible.
simply put that without him, I am not me. 🙂

3. family is hugely important to me.

I am happily married to my husband of seventeen years, and have two amazing kids (one boy, one girl) that are my world.
I have an incredible mom + dad, two sisters (one older, one younger), a brother, incredible in-laws, twelve nieces + nephews, and TOO many aunts/uncles/cousins to count. 🙂

4. I’m a midwest girl who resides in the southwest.

I was born and raised in illinois and now make my home in arizona.  I have traveled to indiana, ohio, wisconsin, michigan, pennsylvania, new hampshire, vermont, maine, new york, massachusetts, maryland, virginia, florida, missouri, nebraska, iowa, texas, tennesee, kentucky, new mexico, kansas, minnesota, colorado, mexico, the bahama’s, the virgin islands and my favorite, california.
I love to travel and see how big our world is…but if I’m choosing, I prefer to drive…flying un-nerves me.
something about hurling a huge hunk of metal on fire into the air hoping it will float always unsettles me. 😉
plus, if you drive you never know when you might see the world’s largest ball of string, or some off-beaten path that needs exploring. 🙂

5. I have been a small group leader with high school girls for the last twenty years.

(which for the past thirteen years has included being a student ministries pastor’s wife.)
I LOVE it.
getting to be a part of young girls lives as they navigate through figuring out who they are and who God is is something I treasure.
something that was instilled in me at a very early age was “life on life for life.”
I’ve gotten to see some of these girls grow up and be wives and mother’s and am happy to still call some of them life friends. 🙂

6. I am obsessed with shoes, earrings, diet coke, fall, christmas, vintage camera’s, glitter (even though my husband hates it.) + chocolate. 🙂

I’m not sure that needs much explanation…the awesomeness is in the obsession. 🙂

7. music has and always will be a huge part of my life.

I love music and was classically trained on the piano up until I was seventeen.
I studied music education for a year in a half and have seen over a dozen broadway plays and a handful of incredibly orchestrated concerts downtown Chicago as part of my education.
I have gotten to be a part of a band since I was sixteen and LOVE getting to worship God through playing/singing for Him.
to further prove my point, if you listen to my spotify station you’ll see my roots of motown (thanks to my dad) mixed in with a huge range of indie, pop, county, rap, emo music that simply doesn’t make any sense other than the fact that I really just love music. 🙂

8. I don’t like capitalizing any words with the exception of God or the letter I and I don’t like leaving just one word per line unless there is a period after that one word.

call it a pet peeve or a quirk, but it’s true. 🙂
when people capitalize kreatid, it looks weird to me. K-reatid is all I see.
plus, if you’re going to capitalize something, I feel like ALL the letters should be capitalized so that none of them feel left out.
the same goes for being just one word on a line…
I imagine that one word would feel left out, unless it was there to be the emphasis.
then that one word is just hanging out like a boss with a big fat period next to it. 😉
okay, it’s more of a quirk. 😉

so that’s me. 🙂
jennifer lynne (stamm) driesbach in a nutshell.
oh, but one last thing about me:

why the name kreatid?

created [kre-a-tid] verb
1. to cause to come into being, as something unique that would not naturally evolve
or that is not made by ordinary processes.
2. to evolve from one’s own thought or imagination, as a work of art or an invention.

did you know kreatid started out as a paper company idea?
I had dreams of making custom stationary and that was as far as my dreams went back in 2007. 🙂
thankfully, kreatid has amazingly evolved into a way for me to collect and show the people/things/art/colors/life that I see.
I spelled created kreatid because I like the way ebonic’s look in the dictionary when you read the definitions.
the letter “A” in my logo is underlined because it’s also the greek symbol of alpha/beginning…HE talks about being the “alpha + omega” and it’s my way of giving honor back to HIM.
plus, I just really like the way it looks. 😉

kreatid is a perfect name for what I get to do.
to photograph you, to style you, to talk about you, to spend time with you, to show off you through my lens.
every day, every session, every design…creatively.
that is kreatid.
that is me.
